Montenegro’s two airports — Podgorica (TGD) and Tivat (TIV) — are running a packed schedule in summer 2026, with more than 60 direct destinations between them across Europe, the Middle East and beyond. That makes reaching the Adriatic coast easier than ever this season, whether you are flying in for the beaches around Budva or heading north to the mountains. Here is what the network looks like and what it means for booking your trip.

Where you can fly direct

Together the two airports connect Montenegro to over 60 destinations this summer. Direct routes include major European hubs such as Barcelona, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, London and Rome, plus Tel Aviv in the Middle East. Tivat, the coastal airport closest to Budva and Kotor, adds links to London, Manchester, Amsterdam, Munich and Dubai among others.

Which airlines fly the routes

The summer schedule mixes flag carriers, low-cost airlines and the national carrier. Operators on the network include Lufthansa, British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, Wizz Air and Air Montenegro. The presence of several low-cost carriers alongside legacy airlines means a wide spread of fares — worth comparing across both airports before you commit.

Which airport to pick

The right airport depends on where you are headed. Tivat (TIV) sits right on the coast and is the closest gateway for the Budva Riviera, Kotor and the Bay of Kotor — handy if your trip is beach- and Old-Town-focused. Podgorica (TGD) serves the capital and the interior, and is the better choice for the north and for the widest route choice overall. Both are small and quick to clear.

What it means for your trip

More direct routes mean shorter, cheaper journeys and fewer connections this summer. Once you land, distances are short but public transport thins out, so renting a car is the simplest way to reach the coast and the mountains on your own schedule.
