Flynas Resumes Riyadh–Podgorica Flights for Summer 2026
Flynas reopens its seasonal Riyadh–Podgorica route from 25 June 2026: three flights a week on an A320, a direct link from Saudi Arabia to Montenegro.
Saudi low-cost carrier flynas is bringing back its seasonal Riyadh–Podgorica route for summer 2026, with the first flight on 25 June 2026. The airline will fly the link three times a week on an Airbus A320, giving Gulf travellers a direct hop to the Montenegrin capital and the Adriatic coast beyond it. It is one of five seasonal routes flynas is reopening from Riyadh this summer.
What is running and when
The route returns on 25 June 2026 and operates three times a week — Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Flights are flown by a single-aisle Airbus A320, leaving Riyadh in the afternoon and reaching Podgorica in the early evening, with the return leg overnight back to Saudi Arabia.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Route | Riyadh (RUH) ↔ Podgorica (TGD) |
| Starts | 25 June 2026 |
| Frequency | 3× weekly (Mon / Wed / Fri) |
| Aircraft | Airbus A320 |
This is a resumed seasonal service rather than a brand-new one — flynas has run the link in previous summers and is reinstating it for the peak season.
Why it matters
The route reconnects Saudi Arabia directly with Montenegro, sparing travellers a connection through a European or Gulf hub. Podgorica (TGD) is the inland airport serving the capital and the wider road network, so it is the natural arrival point for trips heading anywhere beyond the immediate coast. It also adds to an already busy season at the country’s airports — see our roundup of Montenegro’s 60+ direct summer routes.
Planning your trip
Podgorica sits inland, so most visitors push on to the coast or the mountains after landing. Public transport works but thins out off the main lines, which is why renting a car is the easiest way to reach the Bay of Kotor or the north on your own schedule. If you are weighing up the timing, our guide to the best time to visit covers the trade-offs of high summer, and the full Montenegro travel guide walks through getting in and getting around.
From the capital, the headline sights are close: the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Kotor is a straightforward drive away, and the beaches of the Budva Riviera are closer still. Keep an eye on the news section for more route updates as the summer schedule fills out.
